Main Business of the House for Today

The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 and 2 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House, Item No. (ii) with amendments:-

(i) Ranaviru Seva Authority (Amendment) Bill
(ii) National Institute of Textile and Clothing Bill


Regulations under the Sri Lanka Tea Board Law

The Chief Government Whip of Parliament on behalf of the Minister of Plantation Industries withdrew the above Item (Item No. 3 of today’s Order Paper), with leave of the House.


Motion at Adjournment time

Motion at Adjournment time on “Facilities to all ‘Daham Pasals’” was moved by the Hon. S.A. Jayantha Samaraweera.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1300 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 5th February 2009.
