Main Business of the House for Today

Fauna and Flora Protection (Amendment) Bill
was debated and referred to the Legislative Standing Committee “B”.

The House agreed to the Motion moved by the Leader of the House of Parliament to appoint a Select Committee of Parliament to discuss the Heads of Expenditure of Ministries selected from the Budget estimates of 2009.

Motion at Adjournment Time on “Education” was moved by the Hon. (Mrs.) Sujatha Alahakoon, M.P.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1637 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 23rd October 2008.
