The Hon. Chief Government Whip moved the Bill entitled
“Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment)”
to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure Act, No. 15 of 1979.
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. (Dr.) (Mrs.) Thusitha Wijemanna was granted leave to introduce the,
“Bill to incorporate the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka”
The Chair directed the Secretary-General of Parliament to forward the copies of the above Bill to each Provincial Council for report to Parliament in accordance with the Standing Order 51(2)(a) of the Parliament.
Main Business of the House for Today
Vote of No Confidence in Prime Minister, Cabinet and Government
was negatived after having taken a division (92 in favour; 119 against).
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1841 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Friday 12th July 2019.
