Hon. Anura Sidney Jayarathne,—To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether surveying the lands that are coming under the Girihaduseya that is situated in Thiriyaya of Trincomalee district which is considered as the first Buddhist pagoda of the world, has been concluded;
(ii) if so, of the reasons led for the delay of the gazette notification declaring aforesaid sacred site;
(iii) of the extent of lands that has been allotted for Girihadu seya sacred site;
(iv) of the measures taken by your Ministry to develop Girihadu seya sacred site?
(b) If not, why?
