Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,— To ask the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that an audit query dated 30.09.2016 has been issued on the school bags distribution programme for the schools of Uva Province in year 2015;
(ii) if so, of the facts which were observed under number 2 of aforesaid audit query;
(iii) of the facts denoted under 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4 and 2.2.5 of aforesaid audit query;
(iv) whether measures will be taken against the officials and the institutions connected with the malpractices which have been revealed by aforesaid audit quarry ?
If not, why?
