Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,— To ask the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) the number of projects that have been commenced by the Ministry for solid waste management from the year 2010 up to now;
(ii) the funds provided to each local authority to implement the aforesaid projects, separately;
(iii) the steps that have been taken in regard to the aforesaid projects from the year 2010 up to now;
(iv) the steps taken by the Ministry for e –waste management; and
(v) the steps expected to be taken in the future under this Government of Good Governance for solid waste management and e-waste management?
(b) If not, why?
