Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma,—To ask the Minister of Rural Economic Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) the quantity of paddy purchased by the government;
(ii) the amount of money spent by the government to purchase paddy;
(iii) the amount of money paid to farmers for a kilo of paddy purchased by the government
separately in each year during the period from the year 2013 up to 2016?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) the total paddy yield in Matara district ;
(ii) the quantity of paddy purchased by the government from the farmers in Matara district;
separately in each year during the period from the year 2013 up to 2016?
(c) If not, why?
