Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,—To ask the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) Not a single bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (S.L.T.B) ply on the route No. 103, Borella – Nrahenpita and route No. 144, Rajagiriya– Fort in the city of Colombo;
(ii) the commuters on routes face numerous difficulties as these routes are now under the monopoly of the private bus owners;
(iii) only one bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board ply on the route no. 117 Ratmalana - Nugegoda and route No. 192, Moratuwa Maharagama routes?
(b) Will he inform this House where arrangements will be made to have an extra S.L.T.B. bus each ply on those routes?
(c) If not, why?
