Hon. Kanaka Herath,— To ask the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of persons with disabilities who have received the living allowance in the year 2015; and
(ii) the total amount of money given as living allowance to persons with disabilities in the year 2015?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) Whether allowances have been given to persons with disabilities who applied for it anew as at 30th September 2016; and
(ii) if so, the number of such persons?
(c) Will he state—
(i) whether he admits that there are person with disabilities who have not received this allowance since 2015;
(ii) if so, the number of such persons with disabilities in Kegalle district;
(iii) the number of such persons referred to in (ii) above, according to each Divisional Secretary’s Division separately;
(iv) the measures taken to provide those persons with the allowances in this year?
(d) If not, why?
