Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the extent of the land on which Hyatt Hotel complex, Kollupitiya is to be built;
(ii) whether the aforesaid land has been obtained on lease basis;
(iii) if so, of the name of the institution that leased the land and the lease period;
(iv) of the assessed value of the aforesaid land; and
(v) of the lease value of the aforesaid land;
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether tenders were called for the construction of the aforesaid hotel;
(ii) if so, of the date on which it was done;
(iii) of the contractors who made offers and the bids offered by them separately;
(iv) of the date on which the building contract was signed; and
(v) whether a ceremony was organized to mark the event; if so, the expenditure borne for that purpose?
(c) Will he state —
(i) whether foreign engineering consultancy service was sought for the construction activities;
(ii) if so, the name of such institution; and
(iii) the amount of money paid for that purpose?
(d) If not, why?
