Hon. Chamal Rajapaksa, — To ask the Minister of Rural Economic Affairs, —
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the total yield of paddy, received in Yala and Maha seasons in the year 2015 and in Yala season in the year 2016 ;
(ii) separately, of the quantity of paddy, the quantity purchased by Paddy Marketing Board as per each district and the paddy stores; and
(iii) of the price of a kilogram of paddy, purchased by the Paddy Marketing Board?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) of the quantity of balance stocks of paddy in the paddy stores, as at 31.07.2016;
(ii) separately, of the quantity of paddy stocks, sold from aforesaid paddy stores; and
(iii) of the names of the individuals or companies whom the aforesaid paddy stocks were purchased and the prices at which they were sold?
(c) Will he state —
(i) the quantity of paddy stocks, issued to Sathosa and other state institutions;
(ii) the reasons for the sale of paddy to individuals and companies ; and
(iii) separately, the quantity of paddy stocks, issued for animal feed and liquor production and the prices they were sold at?
(d) If not, why?
