Hon. I. Charles Nirmalanathan,— To ask the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that persons who have not completed the basic qualifications have been recruited as Samurdhi Officers in Vanni District without following a formal recruitment procedure;
(ii) of the details of the Samurdhi Officers who have been recruited without qualifications in this manner; and
(iii) whether quick steps will be taken to remove the persons recruited in an irregular manner and recruit new officers in a proper manner?
(b) If not, why?
