Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) many development programmes that were initiated in the Matara District under the Deyata Kiruala development programme have been stopped from January 2015; and
(ii) the officers and the politicians in the government emphasized at the very single district development committee meeting held for this year that those programmes would be recommenced?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the new town plan for Matara will be implemented in the proposed place;
(ii) if so, the date on which it will be implemented;
(iii) if not, why;
(iv) whether the construction of Matara new Town Hall complex will be commenced;
(v) if so, the date on which it will be started; and
(vi) if not, why?
(c) If not, why?
