Hon. (Ms.) Kamala Ranathunga,— To ask the Minister of Power and Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House of —
(i) the date of commencement of the construction work of the Norochcholai Power Plant which was a solution to the national energy crisis and the construction of which was delayed by 20 years;
(ii) the number of mega watts expected to be generated from it;
(iii) the total amount of money that will be spent on this construction;
(iv) the loss incurred by the country as a result of delaying the construction of this power plant; and
(v) the action that will be taken against those who caused the delay in such activities?
(b) If not, why?
