Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Internal Transport,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the number of instances scarp iron of the Sri Lanka Railways Department was sold during the period from the year 2012 to 30th June 2014;
(ii) separately, the quantity of iron sold at each such instance;
(iii) the number of instances the tender procedure was followed at the said sale of iron;
(iv) separately, the quantity of iron sold at each such instance; and
(v) the income generated by Sri Lanka Railways Department through this?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the situations mentioned in (a)(i) above, whether there are instances where the tender procedure had not been followed;
(ii) if so, the number of such instances;
(iii) the basis on which it was done;
(iv) the quantity of iron thus sold;
(v) the persons to whom they were sold;
(vi) separately, the quantity of iron sold to each person; and
(vii) separately, the income generated by Sri Lanka Railways Department through this?
(c) If not, why?
