Hon. M. Joseph Michael Perera,— To ask the Minister of Economic Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately, of the number of Samurdhi beneficiaries who were entitled to Samurdhi benefits in each Divisional Secretary’s Division in the Gampaha District as at 30th June in each year from year 2004 to year 2007.
(ii) of the amounts of money paid to the persons who were entitled to Samurdhi benefits as mentioned above and their names and addresses; and
(iii) separately, of the amount of money paid to the Samurdhi beneficiaries in the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 ?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the number of persons who had been Samurdhi beneficiaries during the period of years mentioned above and were deprived of their Samurdhi benefits subsequently and their names and addresses;
(ii) the basis on which such deprivation was done; and
(iii) if there are new Samurdhi beneficiaries, the amount of money paid to them and their addresses?
(c) If not , why?
