4533/2015: POLICE SERVICE PERSONNEL: ALLOWANCE AT BIRTH OF THIRD CHILD

Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Public Order, Disaster Management and Christian Affairs,—

(a) Will he state—

(i) whether he is aware that it was proposed at the 2011 Budget to grant an allowance of one hundred thousand rupees for the birth of third child of the families of those serving in the Police Department in order to strengthen the family economy; and

(ii) separately, on annual basis, the number of families that have received this allowance in the years 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 as per the said proposal; and

(iii) the overall expenditure borne by the government for this purpose?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether the programme for granting an allowance of one hundred thousand rupees for the birth of the third child of those serving in the Police Department is in operation;and

(ii) of the procedure to be adopted by those currently serving in the Police service to receive the said allowance?

(ii) නිලධාරින්/නිලධාරිනියන් විසින් තුන් වන දරු උපත සිදු වීමෙන් පසු පොලිස් මූලස්ථානය මඟින් නිකුත් කර ඇති උපදෙස් පත්‍රිකාව අනුව සකස් කරන ලද අයදුම් පත්‍රය පොලිස් සුබසාධන කොට්ඨාසයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් පසු පොලිස් මූලස්ථානයේ මුදල් අංශය මඟින් අදාළ මුදල දරුවා නමින් ඇති රාජ්‍ය බැංකු ගිණුමක තැන්පත් කරනු ලබයි.
