Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Internal Transport,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) a group of personnel have been recruited to the Transport Sub-Division of the Sri Lanka Railways Department through appointment letters dated 15.05.2009 and 17.11.2009 for the positions of Railway Assistant, Sanitation Worker and Office Labourer; and
(ii) their service has not been made permanent up to now?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of personnel recruited in the aforesaid manner;
(ii) if the aforesaid persons will be made permanent in the service, of the date on which it will be done; and
(iii) of the methodology that will be adopted to do so?
(c) If not, why?.
