Hon. (Mrs.) Anoma Gamage,— To ask the Minister of Postal Services,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) separately, the number of Post Offices, Sub Post Offices and Agency Post Offices in Sri Lanka;
(ii) the services maintained by those Post Offices at present;
(iii) the annual revenue received by the government for the provision of those services;
(iv) the number of staff deployed for maintaining the postal service, separately according to each position; and
(v) separately, the amount spent annually for salaries for the staff, housing rental, water facilities, electricity and telephone facilities etc. in maintaining the postal service?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the facilities required for the new telemail service have been provided to all the post offices; and
(ii) if not, the manner in which the new telemail service is planned to be operated?
(c) If not, why?

තවමත් තැපැල් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මහජන සේවාවන් සැපයීම අරමුණු කොටගෙන ක්රියාත්මක වන අතර, සමහර සේවාවන් සැපයීම වෙනුවෙන් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට කිසිදු ආදායමක් නොලැබේ.
