Hon. A. Vinayagamoorthy,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will he inform this House-
(i) of the number of mentally affected persons in the Northern Province who are taking treatment at the hospitals; and
(ii) whether the said mentally affected persons can be treated as disabled persons?
(b) Will he state whether there are any programmes to rehabilitate the aforesaid mentally affected persons in the Northern Province?
(c) If not, why?

(ii) මානසික බලපෑම්වලට ලක් වූ පුද්ගලයින් ආබාධිත පුද්ගලයින් ලෙස සැලකිය නොහැක.
(ආ) ඔව්.
මානසික රෝගී පුනරුත්ථාපන මධ්යස්ථාන සහ ප්රජා සත්කාරක කමිටු මධ්යස්ථාන මඟින් එම පුද්ගලයන් පුනරුත්ථාපනය කිරීමේ කටයුතු ඉටු කරනු ලබයි. මෙයට අමතරව රැක බලා ගන්නන්ගේ සමිති මඟින්ද ඔවුන්ගේ හා පවුල් සඳහා උපදේශන හා වෙනත් පසු ප්රතිකාර සේවාවන් ක්රියාත්මක කරනු ලබයි.
