Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,— To ask the Minister of Petroleum Industries,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) as to when the Iran oil embargo was imposed on the world; and
(ii) whether Sri Lanka is also abided by the said embargo; and
(iii) the annual consumption of Iranian oil and the import of Iranian crude oil in metric tones for the last three years on per year basis and until the date of embargo in this year ?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) as to how Sri Lanka substitutes the Iranian oil imports;
(ii) that the country from where the oil was imported and substituted after the aforesaid embargo; and
(iii) the additional increased premium that had to be paid for the limited oil imports from Iran, after the sanctions imposed by Europeans on Iran ?
(c) If not why?
