Hon. Ruwan Mapalagama,— To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the current balance of the Hajj Fund belonging to the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs;
(ii) of the method in which funds are credited to the said Fund;
(iii) of the number of projects that have been implemented using the moneys of the said Fund and of the amount that has been spent on such projects;
(iv) whether a detailed report on the progress and the outcomes of those projects will be presented;
(v) whether the Fund is subjected to an annual audit; and
(vi) if not, of the reasons therefor?
(b) If not, why?
