Hon. Lasith Bhashana Gamage,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that an issue has arisen concerning the depositors of the Gampaha Sanasa Bank;
(ii) of the number of depositors who suffered injustice by depositing money at the said bank;
(iii) of the amount of money deposited by the depositors mentioned above;
(iv) of the actions that the Department of Cooperative Development has taken on behalf of those depositors; and
(v) of the progress of the aforesaid actions?
(b) If not, why?
