Hon. Manjula Suraweera Arachchi,— To ask the Minister of Environment,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether the relevant environmental legal requirements have been fulfilled when starting the ‘Lonach Dairy Farm’;
(ii) of the methodology of disposing of the daily animal waste collected on the said farm;
(iii) whether the farm has obtained the relevant annual environmental licenses from the year 2020 to date;
(iv) whether said farm is operating in accordance with the relevant environmental recommendations;
(v) whether there are any instances in which the management of the farm has violated the relevant environmental recommendations; and
(vi) if so, of the action that were taken in that regard?
(b) If not, why?
