Hon. Sanjeewa Ranasingha,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the extent of land belonging to the Land Reform Commission separately in each Divisional Secretariat Division in the Kalutara District;
(ii) separately for each Divisional Secretariat Division, of the extent of land provided under leasehold, direct public allocation, freehold, and the extent of land provided to public under land permits;
(iii) is there a possibility of providing freehold deeds for the lands under permits;
(iv) separately for each Divisional Secretariat Division, of the extent of abandoned lands out of the lands previously provided to the public;
(v) whether there is a possibility of re-acquiring those lands and providing them to those who do not have lands; and
(vi) separately for each Divisional Secretariat Division, of the extents of lands belonging to the commission that have been misappropriately acquired by individuals or institutions?
(b) If not, why?
