Hon. Anuradha Jayaratne, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether the Ministry has initiated a programme to identify children suffering from diseases such as autism in advance and to provide them with therapeutic treatment;
(ii) if so, of the year in which the said programme was initiated;
(iii) of the number of hospitals at which pediatric specialists are serving;
(iv) out of the said hospitals, of the names of those that operate clinics to provide care for patients with diseases such as autism; and
(v) whether provisions have been allocated to provide the necessary infrastructure and other facilities to those hospitals?
(b) If not, why?
