Hon. Ajith P. Perera,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether there is a delay in issuing number plates by the government when registering new vehicles;
(ii) if so, of the reasons for the delay referred to above;
(iii) of the number of vehicles for which the issuance of number plates by the government has been delayed as of 01.10.2025; and
(iv) of the steps that will be taken to prevent the delay referred to above?
(b) If not, why?
