Hon. Lal Premanath,—To ask the Minister of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the unresolved issues that exist regarding the payment of pension entitlements and arrears of Samurdhi Development Officers;
(ii) of the prompt measures that have been taken by the Government to resolve them and the specific timeframe for implementing the same;
(iii) whether it has been planned to expeditiously implement a proper system for their promotions and grading;
(iv) if so, of the progress of it at present; and
(v) of the steps that have been taken to expedite disciplinary action regarding the incidents of misconduct and corruption reported against Samurdhi Development Officers?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the steps that have been taken to complete the project to computerize the Samurdhi Bank system?
(c) If not, why?
