Hon. K. Kader Masthan,—To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether there are any Grama Niladhari Divisions out of the 136 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Mullaitivu District, which do not have multi-purpose service centres (Seva Piyasa) that can be used by the Grama Niladharis, Development Officers and Samurdhi Development Officers;
(ii) if so, of the number of offices that are temporarily housed in alternative buildings;
(iii) of the number of offices that need to be renovated;
(iv) of the number of offices that do not have toilet, water and electricity facilities; and
(v) of the number of offices to which the electricity supply has been disconnected?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that there are difficulties in providing quality services to the public due to such shortages; and
(ii) of the pan that is in place to address the said shortages in order to provide quality and expeditious services to the public?
(c) If not, why?
