Hon. K. Kader Masthan,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he state, in respect of the Mullaitivu, Mannar and Vavuniya districts separately the number of —
(i) Grama Niladhari Divisions in which community halls have been established;
(ii) such community halls that are in a usable condition without any deficiencies;
(iii) community halls which lack sanitation, water or electricity facilities; and
(iv) Grama Niladhari Divisions which do not have community halls?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the general public experiences difficulties in obtaining services due to the aforementioned shortcomings;
(ii) of the plan to address these shortcomings in order to provide a quality service; and
(iii) whether there is a plan to establish new community halls in Grama Niladhari Divisions that currently lack such facilities?
(c) If not, why?
