Hon. (Mrs.) Oshani Umanga,— To ask the Minister of Labour,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether there is a method for the members of the Employees Provident Fund to check their information online, such as their Provident Fund balance and contributions credited to their accounts;
(ii) if not, of the steps that have been taken to introduce such a method;
(iii) of the date on which the said method will be initiated;
(iv) whether the Department of Labour has paid its attention towards a method for sending auto-generated messages to the members of the Fund; and
(v) if so, of the specific areas that are being focused on?
(b) If not, why?
