Hon. Ajith Gihan,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development,— (1)
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) the same commodity is sold at different prices in the market; and
(ii) substandard food and consumer goods are sold in shops?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether there is a programme to prevent the issuance of food and goods that are unfit for consumption, to the market; and
(ii) if so, of the such programme ?
(c) If not, why?
