Hon. Thilina Samarakoon,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the methodology under which spare part stocks required for the buses of the Sri Lanka Transport Board are purchased;
(ii) whether he will admit that there are flaws in the said methodology;
(iii) if so, of such flaws;
(iv) whether there is a possibility to introduce a flawless methodology for that;
(v) of the stock management methodology that is adopted in relation to spare parts;
(vi) of the duration for which the said methodology has been in use; and
(vii) whether a computer system will be developed for stock management?
(b) If not, why?
