Hon. K. Kader Masthan,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) total area of land, in acres, provided under the programme of providing lands for middle class people living in the four Divisional Secretariat Divisions of the Vavuniya district to date;
(ii) area of the said land, in acres, separately for each Grama Niladhari Division;
(iii) area of land provided to the second parties out of the lands mentioned in (i) above, in acres; and
(iv) names of the second parties to whom each of those lands have been provided, the Grama Niladhari Division to which the said land belongs and the basis on which the said land was provided, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the government housing schemes have previously been implemented on the above lands, which were given to second parties;
(ii) whether the lands on which the said houses have been constructed were properly given to the relevant beneficiaries; and
(iii) if so, of the reasons for not providing the relevant documents so far?
(c) If not, why?
