Hon. K. Kader Masthan,—To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) out of the 102 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Vavuniya District, of the number of divisions that do not have a permanent Grama Niladhari Office and the number of divisions that are functioning with temporary Grama Niladhari Offices, separately;
(ii) from among the Grama Niladhari Offices in the Vavuniya District, of the number of Grama Niladhari Offices that require refurbishment at present, lack toilet facilities, water facilities, electricity facilities, and have had the electricity supply disconnected as of now, separately; and
(iii) whether he admits that these inadequacies have hindered the Grama Niladhari from providing their services effectively?
(c) If not, why?
