Hon. M.S. Uthumalebbe,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) separately, for each district, of the number of land permits obtained from the public, under the programme implemented by the previous government to issue title deeds for land permits in the Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee districts of the Eastern Province;
(ii) separately, for each district, of the number of title deeds that have been issued for the aforesaid districts;
(iii) separately, for each district, of the number of title deeds that are yet to be issued; and
(iv) of the steps that will be taken by the Ministry to expedite the issuance of the aforementioned title deeds?
(b) If not, why?
