Hon. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake,—To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) number of BYD vehicles that have been imported into Sri Lanka to date since the relaxation of the vehicle import laws;
(ii) number of vehicles that have been released by Sri Lanka Customs to date, out of those vehicles;
(iii) number of such vehicles categorized by their engine capacity separately; and
(iv) difference in the duties levied for vehicles with an engine capacity of 100 kilowatts and those with an engine capacity of 150 kilowatts?
(b) If not, why?
