Hon. Dharmapriya Dissanayake,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of family units living in Sri Lanka;
(ii) whether he is aware that there are houses each shared by several family units;
(iii) in the case of a house shared by several family units, of the formal procedure that is followed by Grama Niladharis to distinguish between the separate families when preparing the electoral register;
(iv) whether he is aware that practical and administrative problems arise when dealing with the families that share the same house;
(v) if so, whether a solution will be provided for that;
(vi) of that solution; and
(vii) if a solution is not provided, of the reasons for it?
(b) If not, why?
