Hon. Sivagnanam Shritharan,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education,— (1)
(a) Will she inform this House of the —
(i) number of government schools on Eluvativu Island in the Jaffna District;
(ii) year in which the students of Sarawanabawa Vidyalaya on Eluvativu Island last sat for the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) examination at the same examination centre established at that school;
(iii) name of the examination centre in which the students of the above-mentioned school are sitting for the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) examination at present; and
(iv) obstacles to holding the G.C.E (Ordinary Level) examination on the Eluvativu Island?
(b) If not, why?
