Hon. (Dr.) (Ms.) Kaushalya Ariyarathne,— To ask the Minister of Defence,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that a large number of retired personnel of the Tri-Forces and the Sri Lanka Police are employed in private security services;
(ii) whether they receive fair wages, adequate facilities, proper training and proper recognition;
(iii) whether there is a mechanism in place for regulating private security services; and
(iv) if not, of the steps that have been taken to formulate a regulatory mechanism?
(b) If not, why?
