Hon. Chanaka Madugoda,— To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he accepts that the current combined allowance provided to Public Health Midwives is not adequate;
(ii) whether there is a course of action to increase the said allowance;
(iii) if so, of the steps that have been taken in that regard; and,
(iv) whether limitations for increasing that allowance have been identified?
(b) If not, why?
