Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawardhana,— To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) number of vehicles that have been imported so far after the permission granted for the import of vehicles to Sri Lanka again;
(ii) tax to be collected from the said vehicles separately according to engine capacity; and
(iii) tax income expected to be generated from importing vehicles and of the tax income that has hitherto been generated separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the —
(i) number of three-wheelers and motorcycles that have been imported so far, separately after permission was granted to import vehicles to Sri Lanka again;
(ii) amount of tax levied on an imported three-wheeler; and
(iii) amount of tax levied on an imported motorcycle separately as per the engine capacity?
(c) If not, why?
