Hon. Ajith Gihan,— To ask the Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the garbage project in Wanawasala, Kelaniya was halted partway and has been in a state of standstill for a few years now;
(ii) of the reasons for the failure of the landfill in Aruwakkaduwa within Puttalam District;
(iii) of the amount that had been allocated for the project concerned;
(iv) whether a political interference has been the cause for the failure of that project; and
(v) of the time that will be taken for completing the project work and restarting it?
(c) If not, why?
