Hon. Sunil Rathnasiri,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the year in which the Regulation of Fertilizer Act was presented to the Parliament of Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the maximum penalty that can be imposed on a fake fertilizer manufacturer under that Act;
(iii) whether the standard of the fertilizers available in the market is examined; and
(iv) whether there is any course of action in Sri Lanka to produce organic and chemical fertilizers or to encourage such production?
(b) If not, why?
