Hon. Rajeevan Jeyachandramoorthy,— To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this house —
(i) the number of financial cybercrime complaints, categorized as credit card fraud, online banking fraud, phishing, SIM swapping, investment scams, digital wallet fraud, and other related offenses, separately;
(ii) whether any particular type of financial cybercrime has shown a significant increase during the past three years;
(iii) of the trends or patterns of financial cybercrime that have been identified in the Northern Province as well as nationally;
(iv) whether a centralized mechanism exists to monitor, track, and classify financial cybercrime across districts and provinces; and
(v) whether such data is publicly accessible or shared with financial institutions?
(b) If not, why?
