Hon. Rajeevan Jeyachandramoorthy,— To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) total number of financial cybercrime complaints reported to the Sri Lanka Police in each year from 2020 to date, separately;
(ii) total number of financial cybercrime complaints reported to the Sri Lanka Police from the Northern Province in each year since 2020 to date, separately;
(iii) number of complaints specifically related to financial frauds such as online banking scams, phishing, and unauthorized electronic fund transfers received through official cybercrime reporting platforms or police cybercrime units in each district of the Northern Province, separately; and
(iv) measures taken to enhance public access to reporting financial cybercrimes in rural and underserved areas, particularly in the Northern Province?
(b) If not, why?
