Hon. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake,—To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of employees working at all the offices of the Employees’ Trust Fund Board, including its Head Office and the Regional Offices;
(ii) whether he acknowledges that the salaries and other facilities required by the employees working at the Board should be provided without a default;
(iii) whether he is aware that the employees of the Board recently engaged in a protest against a salary cut; and
(iv) if so, of the measures that have been taken regarding the said salary cut?
(b) If not, why?
