Hon. M.S. Uthumalebbe,—To ask the Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the fishermen named M.F. Mustakeen, N. Gunapalasingam, A. Radha Krishnan and Premasiri, who left for deep sea fishing from Point Pedro (Vetrilai Kenikkadal) on 07.07.2024, were brought back to Sri Lanka from India after 194 days;
(ii) whether compensation was paid for the said fishermen; and
(iii) if so, of the details, relating to the compensation?
(b) If not, why?
