Hon. Sujeewa Dissanayake,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House, separately of the —
(i) number of flyovers constructed across highways, flyovers constructed across railways and road tunnels constructed in Sri Lanka; and
(ii) amount that has been spent on the construction of those referred to above?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) of the number of flyovers that have been constructed in the Kurunegala District;
(ii) of the locations where the above flyovers have been constructed;
(iii) whether it has been proposed to construct a flyover across the Maho Junction on the Northern Railway Line;
(iv) whether a ceremony had been organized to commence the construction of the flyover concerned during the period from 2004 to 2014;
(v) if so, of the expenditure that the ceremony incurred; and
(vi) whether steps will be taken in future to construct the said flyover?
(c) If not, why?
