Hon. Lal Premanath,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) primary objective of implementing the Vehicle Emission Testing Programme in Sri Lanka;
(ii) date on which the said programme was initiated;
(iii) annual revenue that are generated by it, separately in respect of each vehicle category; and
(iv) name of the institution that collects the revenue?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the role of the Vehicular Emission Test Trust Fund;
(ii) of the name of the individual who initiated the said Fund;
(iii) whether the Government receives any revenue from the said Fund; and
(iv) if so, of the amount of the said revenue?
(c) If not, why?
